<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Government exist to exert control and power over people. This power operates under the dominion and control of forces of evil. God works through this and accomplishes his will. Government is not the "vessel" of God. If you doubt, <a href="http://niv.scripturetext.com/1_samuel/8-1.htm">go read about what God says to the Israelites when they beg for a King.(1 Samuel 8:1-22)</a> </span><br />
<span class="gmw_"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Don't let your faith be tied to something that exist in the physical that derives it power from the enemy. </span><br />
<span class="gmw_"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span class="gmw_"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Stop fooling yourself in to thinking that the way you vote or don't vote determines ones faithfulness to God. </span></span><br />
<span class="gmw_"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span class="gmw_"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">We are witnessing the world setting up and moving closer to the things that are foretold in Revelation. I feel like its' not in my lifetime, but its easy to see how its gettering "prepped" and primed for end times. I have no fear of this, in fact I welcome it. For I know that I have God's seal upon me. Really why are you worried about your guns? If you are worried about your guns, you are like the guy that has brought a knife to a gun fight. This is a spiritual battle. If you try to fight it in the physical it will just speed you up to go fight in the Spiritual.</span></span><br />
<span class="gmw_"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> This is way bigger than any gun. Guns are useless against the spiritual powers we are fighting against. Make no mistake, this is a battle, but guns are useless in the battle. Don't let guns distract you from seeing with you Spiritual Eyes and seeing the battle for what it really is. You are properly equipped to fight this battle if you realize that your faith doesn't not rest in the second amendment. In fact, <span class="gmw_">they way some talk about taking arms against an aggressive<span class="gmw_"> government<span class="gmw_"> is no different than the muslim<span class="gmw_"> extremist that call for a jihad. </span></span></span></span></span>homecookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04491709753729450287noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8649200489061188141.post-82515010109618900532009-08-13T20:18:00.002-06:002009-08-13T20:25:21.324-06:00Palo Duro TrekThe last leg of our trip was a night in Palo Duro Canyon. We were having water issues when we would get a significant rain. <br /><br />Matt has installed a sprinkler system and planted grass in both the front and back yards. I only have pictures of the front. We plan to replant flowerbeds as well. But here is the progress so far.<br /><br />Here is the yard the day Matt started:<br /><br /><embed pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="400" height="267" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2FCooks5.3%2Falbumid%2F5365030517908269249%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26authkey%3DGv1sRgCJrC25Ont_HqkwE%26hl%3Den_US"></embed><br /><br />And today:<br /><br /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="400" height="267" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2FCooks5.3%2Falbumid%2F5365033455321476321%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26authkey%3DGv1sRgCIeI3qfZl-annQE%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>homecookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04491709753729450287noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8649200489061188141.post-51651105666541054192009-08-01T09:27:00.002-06:002009-08-01T09:35:12.149-06:00Facebook<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaBnC2kb-65FCPKTggKXQSNUbSvrZipT5Qvs1KDcYPN3dQB-fCg9UTsCX_csnz1DxoZ-VYCC9xS1biBApKrt3LGh1-kja_0_ZvYzwkO1wcJ4-SFI5jSc-STcNwH7YJdLxB1MXmiMuUkg/s400/facebook_logo_withpage.gif"><img style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 250px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 318px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaBnC2kb-65FCPKTggKXQSNUbSvrZipT5Qvs1KDcYPN3dQB-fCg9UTsCX_csnz1DxoZ-VYCC9xS1biBApKrt3LGh1-kja_0_ZvYzwkO1wcJ4-SFI5jSc-STcNwH7YJdLxB1MXmiMuUkg/s400/facebook_logo_withpage.gif" border="0" /></a><br /><div>So sorry for the lack of posting. We did on this day, Freddy and De'Ana had water coming in their house every time it rained and had a huge landscaping issue that was funneling water into their house. With a little help from a few friends and (Rick's equipment that did the work of fifty men). In half a day we took out 20+ trees and reshaped the landscape to reroute the water. <br /><br />This is what we are here for, to help each other. This was about helping one of the family. Thanks to all who came out and gave their, sweat, heart, time and equipment. <br /><br />Yes 2 chainsaws gladly laid down their lives to make this possible.<br /><br /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="400" height="267" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2FCooks5.3%2Falbumid%2F5336997223548047393%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26authkey%3DGv1sRgCLWd1OCDy-36ZQ%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>homecookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04491709753729450287noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8649200489061188141.post-89493412143040605672009-05-19T20:52:00.001-06:002009-05-19T20:52:01.245-06:00Mother's Day at the Wickersham's<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="400" height="267" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2FCooks5.3%2Falbumid%2F5336991919192509649%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26authkey%3DGv1sRgCN3xlL-5k8eJew%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed><br /><br />Oh yes, a good time was had by all! Her battle with lung cancer has been victorious. She has a clean bill of health from her doctor. God is good!<br /><br />This Friday was Relay for Life in Azle. It is a huge fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. We joined Joyce in celebration of her life and to raise money to help fund research. Her theme was Mama Mia. So, we sold hand made art work, jewelry, and had art projects to make on site. It was a great night. The kids had a blast. And, even though it started out with rain, it ended a beautiful day.<br /><br />We planned an early egg hunt with all the children from church. Matt and I dyed 34 eggs with the kids on Saturday. Gracie helped too. It was a new experience for her. (Evidently they don't do that sort of thing in the Rollmann household.) Aunt Robyn sent the kids a great box filled with goodies that included a tie dye egg kit. We made solid, tie dye, painted, and polka dotted eggs. As many of you with young children know, it is often very difficult to hit the road. And when you do get to go on a trip, it is rare that you can find yourself without children. So we headed out to Fredericksburg. We stayed <a href="http://www.fredericksburg-lodging.com/alte-welt2-1/">here.</a> It was right on main street and we loved not having to drive anywhere.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKPsCCKlrxRt64UQvJvsEN0QrEkvMRubeGWT5SbVTSyZEqzCdI-RS4VXvo-UnMxQ9w6XV-AsiQxWBYbPsR-QUX3umg8bBg6YPUp0TaaYiBj27pZx-rklbwHo8Kvi0cMkfE4qy2V5ECyIQ/s1600-h/Fredericksburg+trip+015.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; What a sweetie. And, inspite of some bad press, Noah and Colton even got along. In fact, the kids had so much fun together, we barely saw them. Holly, Kevin, Hudson, Tatum and Audrey came, along with Caitlin and Shaleen. Brian and Lindsay were there too! They have won more concert tickets than anyone I know. We have benefited from their winning streak in the past.<br /><br />A few weeks ago <a href="http://www.kvrk.com/">89.7</a>, a local radio station, was giving away tickets to see <a href="http://www.familyforce5.com">Family Force 5</a>. Jessica called me one night and told me she won. Unfortunately there were only two tickets. I jokingly told her she should win tickets for us too. Several days later I got an ecstatic call from Jessica again telling me that Matt aka Scott won tickets! Amazing!<br /><br />The day of the concert I received a very sad call from Jessica. She was sick and was not going to make it to the concert. Although we were extremely saddened by Jessica's illness, Noah jumped at the chance to go! (I really was sad Jessica)<br /><br />To make a long story short, neither Scott or Jessica made it to the concert. They did all the work and didn't even get to see the show. Thanks for the tickets!
